Effective date: November 6, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Dayton T. Brown, Inc. (“DTB”) collects through www.dtb.com, how we use it, who we disclose it to, and the rights available to you. We apply it uniformly to every visitor in the United States, regardless of your state of residence: where a state privacy law grants a right, we extend it nationwide rather than offering it only to residents of that state.
DTB is a U.S.-owned and operated testing, engineering, technical publications, and mission systems company. The entity responsible for personal information collected through this website is:
Dayton T. Brown, Inc.
Attn: Privacy Requests
1175 Church St.
Bohemia, NY 11716

(800) 232-6300
This policy covers only what we collect through this website. It does not cover information you give us offline or under a contract, purchase order, or non-disclosure agreement; employee and personnel data, which our internal human resources policies govern; or technical data and test articles you submit under a commercial agreement, which are handled under that agreement and the applicable export-control and security requirements.
This website is operated and hosted in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed here, where data-protection law differs from that in your own jurisdiction.
Do not submit export-controlled, classified, proprietary, or confidential technical information through any form or email address on this website. This includes anything subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and anything carrying a Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) marking. Public web forms and general email are not approved channels for that material. If you need to send DTB controlled information, contact your DTB point of contact and we will arrange an appropriate method.
When you contact us. Your name, company or organization, email address, telephone number, and the contents of your inquiry, quote request, survey response, or mailing-list signup.
When you request facility access as a non-U.S. citizen. Our visit request form collects your name, company or military branch, address, and email; recent foreign travel and the countries involved; your permanent resident, Green Card, and dual citizenship status; your Alien Registration Number; the type and number of the identification you will present; your DTB point of contact and sponsoring organization; and your reason for visiting and requested dates.
We collect this because U.S. export control law and our obligations as a government contractor require us to screen foreign-national access to our facilities. We cannot process a visit request without it. Your Alien Registration Number, identification number, and citizenship status are sensitive information: we use them only for facility access, export-control screening, and the related recordkeeping our contracts require — never for marketing, never to infer characteristics about you, and we do not disclose them to advertising or marketing vendors.
When you apply for a job. Applications and résumés are handled through our applicant tracking provider, ApplicantPro, at dtb.applicantpro.com, under its privacy policy as well as this one.
Automatically, when you browse. Your IP address and the approximate location and organization inferred from it; your browser, operating system, and device type; the pages and documents you view, how long you stay, what you click, and the order you visit them in; the referring and exit URLs and any campaign parameters; and standard server log data.
What we do not collect here. Payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, biometric data, precise geolocation, or health information. Apart from the visit request form, we do not collect government identification numbers through this website.
We use cookies, tags, pixels, and browser storage in four categories:
The advertising providers combine information about your visit here with information from other sites to build profiles and to deliver or measure advertising. U.S. state privacy laws describe that as “sharing” for targeted advertising, and several treat it as a “sale” even though no money changes hands. Section 6 explains how to opt out. Embedded third-party content — video players, maps, social media, and our applicant tracking system — may also set its own cookies, which we do not control.
Your choices. We do not ask you to accept cookies before you use this site, so these cookies are set when you arrive. You can opt out of advertising at any time by emailing contactus@DTB.com with the subject “Privacy Request” — see Section 6, which explains how we handle it and what we will and will not ask you for.
You can also act without contacting us at all, and these take effect immediately:
Browser signals. We do not currently detect or respond automatically to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. No common industry standard for Do Not Track has been adopted. If you send either signal and want us to act on it, email us as described above and we will apply it to our own processing.
We disclose personal information to the vendors listed in Section 4 and to our website host, email, and CRM providers, all contractually limited to serving us; to DTB personnel with a business need, including the security and contracts staff who process visit requests; to government customers and agencies where our contracts, export-control obligations, or law require it; in response to subpoenas and other lawful requests, or to protect our rights or the safety of others; and to a counterparty in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information for money.
Wherever you live in the United States, you may ask us to:
We will not deny you service, charge you more, or lower your service quality for exercising any of these rights.
How to ask. Email contactus@DTB.com or call (800) 232-6300 with the subject “Privacy Request,” and give us enough detail to find your records. We verify requests against our records before acting on them, and we will tell you what we did. Your first request in any twelve-month period is free. An authorized agent may act for you with written proof. Marketing emails also carry an unsubscribe link.
If we decline. We will tell you why. You may ask us to reconsider by replying, or by writing to the address in Section 1, and we will answer in writing with our reasons. If you are not satisfied, you may raise the matter with your state Attorney General.
You do not need to name your state to exercise any of this. We grant these rights to every visitor in the United States, and they follow the rights given by the comprehensive state privacy laws now in force, including those of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. If your state grants a right not listed here, we will honor that too. Nevada residents may submit a verified request not to have covered information sold.
Opting out of targeted advertising, sale, and sharing. Email contactus@DTB.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us you want to opt out. We will not ask you to create an account or to verify your identity for this, and we will not ask for more information than we need to act on it. We will confirm when it is done. You may also use the browser and provider controls in Section 4, which take effect immediately and do not involve us. An authorized agent may submit this request on your behalf.

Where this table gives a criterion rather than a fixed number of months, we keep the information only for as long as that criterion requires, and we delete or anonymize it on that basis.
DTB maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for the information we hold, including TLS encryption of website traffic, access controls, network monitoring, and personnel security training. As a defense contractor and subcontractor we maintain a cybersecurity program aligned to the requirements applicable to our contracts. No website is completely secure, however, which is why Section 2 asks you not to send controlled or confidential technical information through it.
This website is directed to business and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
DTB's headquarters is in Bohemia, New York. We handle personal information in accordance with New York law, including the data-security standards and breach-notification duties of the New York SHIELD Act. This policy and any dispute arising out of it or out of your use of this website are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here limits any right you have under the law of your own state or country, or your ability to complain to a regulator.
We may update this policy. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above, and will give additional notice of material changes by posting a notice on our homepage. Questions go to contactus@DTB.com or (800) 232-6300.
