DTB Veterans Luncheon

BOHEMIA, NY - Dayton T. Brown, a small business based in Bohemia, NY, honored its 34 veterans today with a luncheon and a special gift, thanking them for their service to our country. All employees were invited to participate and given the opportunity to recognize their colleagues. DTB’s other locations in Shelton, CT, Hollywood, MD, and Wichita, KS held similar events.

“This is a great chance to recognize our veterans,” said Dayton T. Brown, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “It is remarkable how many veterans we have here at the Company, but given our history with the military, it is not surprising.”

Dayton T. Brown, originally known as Brown and Mole, began as a sheet metal manufacturer in 1950, but quickly became involved with testing military equipment for the Korean War in 1952. That first contract launched the Engineering & Test Division, which is the Company’s largest division today, and continues to support the Department of Defense (DoD). The Technical Services Division, founded several years later, also has deep roots with the military. Today, approximately two-thirds of DTB’s business is associated with the DoD.

DTB is proud to honor our veterans and tirelessly works to support our current service men and woman, both in the field and in the workplace. Happy Veterans Day!
