Contact DTB to learn more about MBE.
We work with our clients to understand their requirements and offer solutions based on industry best practices. The key to our success is partnership and collaboration with our clients.
There are many benefits that encourage companies to make the change to MBE:
Evolution and interoperability of engineering within an enterprise is depicted to the left.
MBE and the bicycle: S1000D introduced a bicycle in order to even out the playing field to communicate how any platform, commercial or military, can use the specification. Similarly, all Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) – regardless of the vertical – have a need to develop, design, and use 3D modeling. The maturity of the 3D models is based on MBE principles.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Department of Defense (DoD) developed an MBE Capability Index in order to define MBE maturity levels within organizations – using engineering models as the guideline.
The seven MBE categories range from 2D drawings to sophisticated Digital Product Data Packages, commonly known as Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
Where does your organization fit? DTB can help you move up the index and advance your long-term MBE objectives.
